Hi Craig,

Please remove me from the list ...

Erm...I'm pretty ashamed to confess here that I ALMOST killed my Z4MC back in early January - I was northbound on the M77, passing Kilmarnock, overtaking a truck at night, doing about 65, hit a patch of water, aquaplaned spinning a 180, miraculously squeezing backwards/sideways through a short gap in the barriers on left (not much more than length of Z4!), hence fortunately avoiding the on-coming just-over-taken truck, down about 7-foot down an embankment into a field. Had the section of barrier re-started again a few inches sooner, the barrier-ramp would have likely flipped the back of Z4 up (going backwards after 180), potentially rolling-me-over down embankment, rather than just sliding down into field as I did... Although not much of a defence, the Police told me that it was a bad spot for it, mentioning another car having ended up down in the same bit in same field just weeks before...

So yeah, despite my shame, I was lucky not only that the accident wasn't a lot worse, but the insurance worked out extremely well for me also! Although it was an insurance-write-off, due to obviously large BMW-part costs etc, the damage wasn't actually too bad considering, and I got letter from DVLA few weeks after advising that the car had a new owner, so hope/assume someone found a bargain to fix with used parts...

With the insurance settlement, i've since found myself a 2005 M3 Convertible (i'd got little jealous of your Z4 convertibles on road-trip last summer!), but do miss the Z.
