Spent a long weekend on a mini tour of Scotland, was superb.
Great roads great scenery and great people, would highly recommend.

Now planning on doing the North Coast 500 next year.

Here's some gratuitous pictures.

Also had a photo opportunity in the Cairngorms with a like minded fellow who I saw the previous day 100 miles away near Applecross....small world.

The Highlands are fabulous ! I recognise the location in your second and third photos...Stob Dearg, Buchaille Etive Mor at the head of Glen Coe. A special and sentimental place to me. Back in late 2002, a few yards from where your car is parked I scattered my fathers ashes by the River Coupall. Together we used to climb the mountains all around and ate our sandwiches by the river on many occasions. Great days. Thank you for sharing and for stirring some fond memories of my old Dad. :D My wife and I hope to get up there in our Zed sometime in the autumn....fingers crossed.

Great pics & great route , almost mirrored my own first Scottish roadtrip this time last year .
Love that road over Glenshee into Braemar then up to Inverness :driving:
Wheels look a treat

Nice pictures.

What's the kit car in your signature?

Thanks.
The kit Is an R1 powered Stuart Taylor Phoenix. Unfortunately she had to make way for the Zed, wish I had a bigger garage.

Looks like you had good weather as well - not far from the NC500 if that was your route

Great photos

Bit of rain on the Sunday but not enough to put the roof up while on the move. The NC500 starts at Inverness but I'm told further north is even more spectacular, can't wait until next May.

Great pics , glad you enjoyed it, we were up there tother week had a great run,
Must say love the look of your Zed

I went up to the very top last weekend. It's impressive. Shame you have to come all the way from Blackpool first! I managed all this in two days. The bit up the middle above inverness was the best bit by far. Miles and miles of single track road through jaw-dropping scenery, then at the end, you get to the coast and are greeted by beautiful beaches. Amazing!

All cars looking excellent here. CSL rims look so good on the E89 in 19's. Somebody's Mrs doesn't look too pleased

We're taking a 5 day tour up the west, leaving Saturday morning and the more of these photo's I see the more I can't wait for Saturday to come. I would like to get right around the top, but I think Ullapool will be as far north as we get......Next year

Stu.

The West section is the most dramatic and scenic in my view. (Ullapool side)

Do include the Pass of the Cattle and Applecross and the coastal route north from there, it's amazing and DO include the loop to Clachtoll and Drumbeog - fantastic scalextric type single track long section in an amazing environment.

Done the NC500 twice and the second time we headed south after Tongue along a deserted isolated road and missed out the top NE section. Did enjoy seeing John O'Groats though the first time.

If you have the visibility, the views throughout are stunning.

Pictures look amazing,
I'm off to do some of Scotland this summer in July.
Really looking forward to it.

We are coming all the way from London though, it's going to be such a trek to even "start" the holiday. Excited none the less, the route looks very similar to DinosaurEyes' but coming back down via Fort William.
Should be good!

Have a great time and make sure you share in this thread, or create your own

I see there's a few who have posted on here from around Preston. We should arrange some kind of run out / meet.
