Scotland/North England/Lakes August Run.

I've been thinking that we could arrange a Sunday run to the Borders/Lakes sometime in the next few weeks. I'll start off by saying that i can do 16th or 23rd August. Who's in and what date is better for you?

From there we can work out a route etc etc.
 
Will the roads not be full of holidaymakers throughout August, especially weekends?

Although I'm not saying I wouldn't be interested, after all it'd be cheaper than a trackday and I wouldn't be going round & round the same piece of tarmac every 2 minutes :P

I think the PH Borders run is already on the 23rd though. I'm supposed to be taking my folks away for a weekend sometime in August though but what happens happens. Borders would be preferable to the Lakes though - a bit far for a one-day drive IMO, can't face that much motorway!
 
I might be up for a run on the 16th August. The borders might be quieter than the Lakes but I don't really mind.
 
I'll be on the M-Power stand at Gaydon on the 16th, so won't be able to do that date.
 
I'll be coming up the M6 past the lakes on the 16th on my way from Manchester Airport in my first drive of the Z for 3 month's, so can't make it, can't do the 23rd either I'm in France with Er Indoors, really helpfull I know but some other time I'm definately up for it. :driving:
 
A Lakes/Borders trip sounds good but I am at Gaydon for the Beemer event on the 16th and Gaydon again on the 23rd for the Triumph Bonni event....but mid Sept onwards would be good.. :)
 
Seems to clash with Gaydon which is a pity, would like to do both! Could we find a date in September?
 
This August is the busiest month iv ever had or i would of been there, seriously dont have a single day spare this month and a north meet is way overdue.
