Schumacher coming out of retirement

I can't wait to see. :) If BMW Sauber really quits at the end of this season. Ferrari will be the team I support next year.

i think its a mistake, he will be well off the pace, has a dodgy neck from February and will damage his legacy in f1, comebacks never work out, but if it was a choice between the test drivers and him i can see why they did it. ive heard talk of alonso moving to Ferrari early or even kubica taking the seat till the end of the season?

I dont think it will be Schumacher in the Ferrari, due to his neck injury, I think it will be Alonso, it is well known they are after him for next season and this incident with Massa may bring it forward and possibly at the next race as Renault are banned for that race,

It in all the news: Schumacher returns...

I'm sorry - If this means a return to the repetitive Ferrari dominance then I'll stop watching F1 again. :(

This season has been the most enjoyable I remember for many a year. The shock start from Brawn, Red Bull coming on song, Toyota taking a couple of podiums, Hamilton taking a win, has kept my interest in what had otherwise become a processional 90 minutes.

Schumacher is without doubt the finest F1 driver of his generation, but quite frankly it got boring seeing his smirking mug on the podium.

Now F1 would be more interesting. I'm a big schumi fan, very disappointed when he retired, yeah it might have been a parade when he won 5 straight championship. since he retired there was a spark missing in F1 and now its going to be interesting. schumi v hamilton and schumi v kimi in same cars, awesome. u couldnt have asked for more. I wont be surprised if he wins a race provided his neck injury doesnt stop him from driving. CAnt wait now.

I agree that seeing "schumi v hamilton and schumi v kimi in same cars" will be interesting :D

I too had stopped watching a couple of years ago and am now enjoying this season. Biggest reason I stopped watching was the constant interfering from the FIA and stewards with the result etc :(

Schumacher is a WINNER. Pure and simple.

I should not imagine he would entertain the idea of a return if he was not certain he could "impact" the races. The upcoming tracks suit the Ferrari F60 charaterisitcs and this will no doutb have been am influence.

Personally, I have always rated him, his loyalty to Ferrari and the way in which he has handled to media (German or not). I am not convinced he will not win many races but he will certainly be up there in the top 6.

Good move for the Red Baron who is a competitor. Good move for Ferrari as a brand and definate good move for F1.

Winners all round. 8)

didnt like him when he drove as i was a hakkinen fan but am glad to see his return as he is an all time legend- just hope hes still got it!
