Schnitzer E89 FOR SALE

I fell off my chair at that price! £47k ?!! For a 2-litre BMW!!!

If you're thinking along those lines you are really missing the point. It's a very quick car and doesn't drive like a turbo at all. It's also lighter than a six, and handles better due to the improved weight distribution. It's every bit as good as the 35i. Everyone who rode in it at Croft last weekend agreed, but don't take our word for it - COME AND DRIVE IT.

It was at croft? Gutted croft is only down the road I would have taken a look

Really? As good as a 35i.. Then the whole six cyl following must be wrong afterall... No?

Ok let's be rational about this;the standard car was heavily discounted and the ACS bits would have been added at cost so my guess is that the car had a new cost(SIV) to ACS when completed of about £35000.I don't think they are being unreasonable asking for a 12 grand profit on a used car with questionable styling that's been driven by loads of people

That is a serious amount of money for a zed - especially one with marmite looks... :D

Perhaps thats the point though.....if you love it...you love it!

Wander how much it would cost to replicate though?

No, the sixes are great and we of course have a long history of working with them. But the automotive world is undeniably moving away from normally aspirated motors to smaller turbocharged engines and the 28i is, in our opinion, a demonstration of how well this can work.

It's a seriously good Zed, and yes that is the point. Some of our customers spend £30k+ upgrading their cars. The same happens with Alpina and the other tuners. They're not for everyone, but those who love 'em (and can afford them) - love 'em. Yes you can buy a (used) Porsche for that money, but you might want an AC Schnitzer BMW, not a Porsche.
