Scan/Diagnostic Software?

Just got an 35is and looking to start PM work on it. Since I do all the work on my F10 550i, looking to do the same on the Z4.

Diagnostics
Searched around the forum and Google but a bit unclear on whether ISTA+ (what I use for the F10) also works on E89. If it does, what cable would I need? And if ISTA+ isn't what's compatible, what software is?

Coding/Programming
Similarly, I use e-Sys for coding and programming my F10. Is it also compatible with E89? If so, again what cable would I need?

Disclaimer - don't have an E89!

Isn't ESYS a generation too new for the E89? It's E90 tech I thought.

I think ISTA will be ok as will INPA. Coding NCSExpert should work if you want more custom stuff.

ISTA is ok you need a usb to DCAN cable to use…you can use ICOM but it’s expensive…

Simple solution is Bimmergeeks Protool..does 85%+ of ISTA in a much easier to use and simpler package..should work on F series too..

I have ISTA as well but much prefer Protool
