SCAM to be wary of

I wasn’t caught - didn’t click on any link as am a suspicious bu&&er

Though I’d share this info... as I believe some unscrupulous online sellers could now be on-selling your mobile/email details to 3rd parties in an attempt to grab your card details...

(FYI the givaway’s no order details that you can cross reference... & do Amazon really use RM?)

Am adding this to the list of
- congestion charge fine emails
- parking fine charge emails (the camera’d short stay free parking)

The giveaway for me would probably be the wrong domain for the email and link in the text message.

I find the best way is to not click on anything - even if I think it is safe.

Just go to the website that it's claiming to be and see if you have any messages/orders there instead.

It’s just another one to add to the long list. We have had one offering COVID vaccinations and requiring a payment. Some of them look very convincing. You just have to be very, very careful.

yep seen that one before, as an aside I have had the odd item via Royal Mail from amazon not for prime stuff usually 3rd party sellers

The sneaky robbers will never stop. Just have to be vigilent. Good heads up. Past on to a wife and daughter.

Thanks - what was really sneaky is that both the email & text came within 24 hours of each other... making you feel it’s more legitimate...

My wife got one of these last week. Domain looked kosher. So much so that she double checked with a trip down to the local Post Office. Turns out they don't send message like like this.

I had a scam Royal Mail "Sorry we missed you earlier..." text message the other week. It came from 29990 and had a link to supposedly book a redelivery and the domain was royalmailgb.app I did a bit of Googling just to make sure it was false and it was being flagged as a scam. I showed it to my parents in the hope that it'll help them avoid similar ones.

I get so many of these each week luckily for me i rarely shop online so i just hit delete but sadly some poor soles get caught by this scum

I got the same one today.
I just forward to [email protected]
I do this with all my scamming emails.

The Royal Mail one nearly caught me out - I coped and pasted the URL into internet explorer - then noticed that it was @.co and not @.com - however all the links were actual Royal mail!
Very sneaky
