Mambot, got a bit of sun now so the top is down at every opportunity!

As for getting the roof sorted, I bought some AutoGlym roof shampoo which seemed to pretty much do the trick. I then treated it with the AutoGlym scotchguard stuff and it seems back to normal, phew! Still set me back £25 but I guess it was stuff I would have bought anyway, just gave me a kick up the jacksy to do it!

Nick i have the AG kit waiting for a break in the weather to give it a try.

They mention masking off all glass and surrounding paintwork so as not to get any of the AG product on there as its a pig to remove did you have any probs with this ?

When you used the sponge to clean the roof did you do a small area at a time then rinse or was it OK to go over the whole roof then rinse.

When spraying on the protection product was there any need to rub in or spread around or was it possible to just spray the whole area ?

They say you have to leave to dry for a long period can you say how long it takes as i have to keep my car outside so weather is an issue.

Cheers Gaz

Gaz, I cleaned the roof a small area at a time. Because I had distinct areas that needed cleaning I sprayed that area, and rubbed it with the sponge provided until the soap frothed up a bit and rubbed until it had almost gone again. This did the trick.

When putting on the protection I just sprayed the whole roof very liberally, using about half the bottle. No need to rub it in, just leave it.

I did then keep the car in the garage overnight after applying the protection, incase of rain. I guess you could just stick a waterproof ground sheet over the roof just incase for one night.

I didn't mask off the surrounding areas and didn't have any issues afterwards. The only problem I had was the pump on the AG roof protection bottle broke, i replace it with the pump off the soap bottle and it broke again! Ended up having to get another pump out of a carpet cleaner bottle! (after rinsing thoroughly through with water first ;-))

Hope that helps. I have been very happy with the results
