Looks great Sars, you are obviously pleased :)

I have the same Cognac interior, still looking good after 2+ years.

This [ref]Pondrew[/ref], :P,

And thanks dr_john

Well, well, well, it’s here :happyclap: :happyclap: :happyclap:

Looks lovely and enjoy every mile in it. The seats are absolutely fantastic. I can’t think of 1 journey, many 6 hrs plus and at a spirited pace, and you feel as if you’ve only been in them 10 mins. Big factor we took into account for the Pyrenees run next year :driving:

At last..!! Looking good Sars...!!

Notice you've got adaptive cruise which you don't like..... :poke:

I'll have my best shoes and shirt on when you pick me up for our regular little illicit meet....I'll drive, I dont trust you in your high heeled cat shoes.... :P

Very nice, I don’t think I’m too far from you so our paths may well cross one day

[ref]Argyll Andy[/ref], thanks Andy, you’ve been a big help over the past six months
[ref]john-e89[/ref], the adaptive cruise in the Golf is rubbish, but in the SL it was a real joy to have so yes i optioned it. From the brief usage so far I would say that it’s much better than the Golf, but maybe not as good as the SL’s.

One thing I have noticed, the SL with the driving assist would steer controlling the car completely, however it seems in the zed that it only corrects when you cross a white line, it won’t actually take the corner, is that right?

Yes correct Sars, just wrestles the wheel on the white line.
Tbh the adaptive cruise on the Zed is not quite far enough, the max distance setting seems a bit close to me, it's maybe about half what the Evoque is and much less than my Transit custom. But maybe I'm comparing them unfairly as they're the only ones I've ever used. It's still excellent and I love it though.

Any early thoughts on which you prefer, Zed or the SL...?

Mazel tov! She looks beautiful!

I found the finish the dealer uses isn’t nearly as good as the finish my detailer gets. He is doing a quick dry ceramic coat on my car next week with a proper job when the weather warms up.

I’m so happy you’ve finally got your car. Been a long wait and now she is here you must enjoy her.

Mazel tov again!

Thanks [ref]ori[/ref], working at home this week so keep having the odd sneaky look out the window, the rear quarter is epic some beautiful lines and angles there.
[ref]craig3.2[/ref], the car is wet and it really brings the colour out
Thanks [ref]gusTaco[/ref],
[ref]N4LLY[/ref], [ref]Roadster_Surrey[/ref], and I think I need to go to the shops for a drive :driving:
[ref]tomscott[/ref], my last red convertible was a 1973 MGB Roadster back in the year 2000, would love you to take some pictures of the new one

Oh I think the settings are quite good, on the way home it was either two or one bars and the HUD is just the best thing since sliced bread, though I need to set it to display the navigation.

It's too early to compare, I haven't spent enough time in the zed yet, one things for sure I much prefer tan leather seats than black ones, no question and I very much miss the panoramic roof in the SL, though the zeds cabin is both airy and snug at the same time, absolutely couldn't live with an all black interior. Front visibility is as good as, rear visibility is poorer and the ride is a little more compliant than the SL. I've not driven with the top down yet so no comparison there yet, sound wise the i6 is smoother, obviously, but the biturbo V6 sound is probably better to my ears.

Cracking looking car!

Is Emily still at Listers- she was a royal PITA sadly when I was dealing with Sopers/Sytner etc

I like my black interior!!! ;)

The hud is useful. I turned off sports display so I still get the cruise control info on the HUD.
I do love the active cruise control.

I’m up to 200 miles. 800 more before I can open her up. Weather isn’t what I’m hoping for though!

I’m looking for drives to do!

I’ll be interested for your full review compared to the SL after you get a proper chance to drive.

Have fun and mazel tov again!

Suprised to hear this actually. I thought the SL is big comfortable GT car so should be more compliant than the z4
