Saw Rush this evening !

A colleague at work had a spare preview ticket so saw it in Bristol this evening. Not a bad watch at all if you're thinking about it. Graphics are mostly really good, the sounds and close ups on the grids are so chillingly good. Story is jazzed up obviously a bit but not far off the recent documentary I saw. However plenty of cars, noise, sound, women! Look forward to some discussions when it comes out next week :grin:

I came here for pictures of Geddy Lee!

I thought it was about "Rush", the band ...
and wondered why a mostly British sports car forum would even think about it. (or want a pic of Geddy Lee )

:poke:

Rob Austin (BTCC Audi) has organised this preview in Evesham if anyone is interested.

Rush came out on the 13th people, so if you haven't seen it already - off to the cinema with you! :poke:
I really liked it - a good film with gorgeous cars and non-f1 fans will enjoy it.

Just got back from seeing it. Good movie, which holds your interest all the way to the end. Definitely recommend it.

Now time to watch the documentary bbc had on this which I recorded a while ago

I've got a mate who's nickname is Rush.

He's called russ but has a speech impediment.

I saw it last Friday and can fully recommend it. It's a great film even if you are not a massive F1 fan it's certainly worth catching I really enjoyed it.

Saw Rush last night, thoroughly enjoyed it and huge respect for the drivers back then - F1 is much safer now :)

My son watched the TV documentary with me and said that the actors on Rush had done particularly well with the characterisation especially the Lauda character. Interestingly, Dave's 26 so has no knowledge or experience of the 'real' thing but went to see the film and he was impressed.

:driving:

Just out from seeing this- stunning, felt quite emotional about it - we lost James Hunt far too young .

Had his Mclaren as a replica scaletric car when I was a kid, I thought the film portrayed him as more than his playboy reputation as Tony Dron wrote in his piece on him in octane recently a real 100 percent racer.

I thought the soundtrack was haunting.
