Saw one of these yesterday

Most of them were M versions and I had the misfortune to try and race one in my Z3 3.0. It lasted about 1.5 seconds and I was trash on the side of the road. I always thought they looked awful but they were great cars. and very collectible (worth many $$$)

LOL something you'd expect to see parked at a country manor with marble statues and water fountains in the gardens "grin"

I love them. Only Z3 I have ever wanted. There is one I pass daily in silver but I did you with buying as Phoenix yellow with LMs on it. If guys think the E86 commands money I've not seen a low millage one of these go for less than 23k Over the past couple of years. They did dip low at one point but not any more.

Just love them. They remind me of a batmobile! Saw my first one many years ago now in Benidorm of all places!

It is in my opinion the best Z ever!

I saw one at quarry motors in sheffield the other day and it really looked like an estate from a rear side view. Didn't like it at all :/

Saw one in Dunster about five years ago. I stared at it while my wife was pottering the shops. Me and the dog liked it. Wife said it was fugly

Perfect dog car...

Weren't they all M's? I'm sure they were in the UK as they were often referred to as the M Coupe. Affectionately called the bread van.

Very rare to see one. I could probably count the number i've seen on 1 hand. Like the 1M it's a car that seemed to gain instant classic status. I'd love one, supposedly fantastic to drive.

Saw a 2.8 non M coupe in Geneva. First one I've seen. Seen plenty of M coupes over here as its all that was produced for our market.

I loved the look when they came out. There used to be a blue one in the area near me so I would see it often.

Maybe looks a bit dated now as with the Z3, but still think it looks a bit special.

Ive had a hankering for one of these for a while. There is a great looking Dakar yellow one out there but has a price tag of around 25K!!

I used to follow one of these to work, back in my Fiat Coupe days. A guy at work is also trying to find one. He's been looking for about a year now and not found a good one, for sale. Such a fun car that most were driven properly by the first few owners and now require a degree of TLC. Personaly I realy like the looks too.

:) I'll have to ask the guy if knows the term Breadvan next time I see him. See him quite often,,,, the other day was just the first time I had seen him driving the Z3.

I love these cars, came very close to owning one before we got the Z4, wouldn't swap now though
