Saved by fast acting roof.

Afew days ago me and my girl friend went for a ride out to donna nook to see the grey seal colony there. When you get there all the roads are tiny roads with agricultural vehicles moving about alot. Anyway i had the top down obviously and pulled in to let the tractor pass. It was about then I realised it was carrying a rotaspreader that was basically flingin horse manuer everywhere. So me and my girlfriend both shouted s**t and tried to close the roof to avoid a covering. Luckily got it shut just in time to hear the pitter patter of poo hitting the roof. If i was in my old mgf or indeed many other convertibles the outcome wouldnt have been the same lol.

A pointless but i thought amusing story of hor having a fast soft top can be very helpful at times.

It was dried so lucky just fell off but thank god for electric roof. My mgf was manual and a pig to do if sat in the car .

And I always used to think that quoting how fast the roof closes was pointless manufacturer willy waving. I stand corrected - a lucky escape!
