Good looking car that Astra and some good pics.

How does the 3.0si fare in drag races with the other.

Yep - from a standstill, traction would be a huge issue in the VXR; the CTR doesn't have enough torque to give it too much trouble. However, once underway, the turbo on the VXR is going to give it an advantage due to the torque and flexibility in the gears.

However, I really do think the 3.0si will win in the end. AND it will sounds so much better in the process!

My friend with the VXR and I had a bit of a race this morning before taking these pics, and, from a standing start, they are reasonably neck and neck, with the Z4 starting to pull out a clearer lead at higher speeds. Due to the way the torque is delivered in the VXR, it is quicker when pulling away in gear, when both cars start at the same speed.

The last picture is great.

I'd expect the Z4 to come out on top, although it would be close with the VXR.

I'm not a fan of CTR's at all.

Is that an Astra or a Peugot? Or are they the same?

The blue one is the "Astra" or a "Saturn" as you Maple leafers would know it. Dont think you have the VXR over there from memory. :)

Would be interesting to see the same test against the new Ford Focus RS!

It would be interesting - I think we wouldn't do to well!!

However, this would not bother me given the interior they would have to be sitting in!

I love the interior in it!
