Satnav to a storage box

I have just seen a post on FB for a 1 serries dashboard storgae box

I have both a Z4 and a 1 serries but the 1 serries does not have the dash storage box but my Z4 has the old satnav and this could be a good alternative if it is a fit.

So has anyone tried this?
