Satnav maps

For some reason my satnav has stopped me setting a route, how is the best way to troubleshoot this

Satnav wouldn’t load 2 destination post codes in succession I needed, it turned out they were new post codes not in the database, what are the chances choosing 2 on the same day.
The maps are 2021 and need updating otherwise all OK
