There will be 60 satellites in a line at 21 58 tonight, going east to west, if you're interested in that sort of thing :)

I wasn't aware it was 60 :( that's crazy. I'll be out looking southwest to east  I bet I don't see a thing

It's called star link and is Elon Musk's doing apparently

Oh well I mist it. :tumbleweed:

Though it's actuly something I would have gone outside to look for if I had read this 20mins earlier. :)

Yeah me too, must have been looking at the wrong sky. Reminded me of when we were kids though, used to lay in the field watching the night sky :)

Watched for a bit, impressive, can't beat ISS though
Saw a couple of meteors from the Lyrid shower as well

I saw them all about 9:20 Sunday night, very clear.
Saw the start of the train last night too.
Tonight they're over about 9pm I think.

Apparently we won't see them as close as they were at the weekend anymore, as they're spreading out now. Unsure how true that is, but it sounds plausible.

Supposed to be a meteor shower tonight/morning and I'm working, hopefully a great show :)

Hopefully a good nights sleep and wake when it's all done. :D

Just watching them come over again now.
Reason they are spreading out is because initially they were put into orbit at around 180 miles up, but now they are moving up to 340 miles.

Managed to see them tonight  lost count in the end  but a cool sight nonetheless. Shame I didn't see them bunched together.

I watched them last night. Going out later tonight to watch the meteor show which I believe should be about 90 degrees to the right of venus.

I was out at 10.30pm last night for half an hour or so. Saw quite a few small meteors and one huge one. All east to west and almost overhead just below Polaris the Pole Star, so facing north

Just to update this, just pulled up on the driveway and happened to look up at the bright moon. I noticed the satellites were going by so stood and watched for a few minutes. Just as the last one passed, I noticed a meteor falling 8) that was pretty cool. Not seen that before.

My front garden is much darker than the back, so it's perfect for stargazing
