V31 to V32 is not worth upgrading as far as I have seen.

Fancy selling your 2008-1 disk for a token to me ? I have to cars with MKIV and generally have the newest map in the car that I use most.

I gave my old disc to them in exchange for the new one.

I've just been on the blower to Benham Wolverhampton, who say "unless you have a problem with your Nav system, it's not worth upgrading to v32"

When I asked for a price on the 2010 map disc, he quoted me £140+VAT including exchange of my old disc (2006)
When I mentioned that I'd read on here that some BMW dealers will do the disc for £99 - he laughed and said "that is below cost price. we pay more than that to get the discs in !" & "I can't see any BMW dealer selling them for below cost price"

So I said I'd leave it for now.

When I mentioned "night colours" on the maps, he said that was nothing to do with firmware, and that this feature was part of the map disc itself.

More confused than ever :roll:

£140? WTF! originally they said it would be £110 inc vat... but then as i said i wanted one for my mums E90 they knocked off 20% on both; in exchange for the old disks.

So far I've managed to find out that I have v32 already, so that is good news and no longer a problem.

Now, I need the 2010 Europe HIGH DVD

I'll drop an email to Joe at Sopers to get an exchange price off him. I've read somewhere on here that he wants £99 ?

Thats much better than £140+VAT that my local stealer quoted. + I should get some kind of guaranteee from Joe I expect ?

Glad you got off the M42 Ranski. I find if I spend more than 10 minutes on it, I get caught by the multitude of speed cameras that are littered along it.

Just to clarify, Sopers are a BMW dealership the same as any other - they just happen to offer decent prices. So you will get the same service from them as you would at your local stealers.
