Sat Nav

Any suggestions (polite) where to mount a TomTom satnav. Don't want to screw fix and don't want the sucker pad up on the dash. Would like a bracket/plate in the gear control area that I could affix the sucker to.

I use a vent mount...

or the brodit mount is down by the gearstick...

Thanks. Just done a Google but there are so many. Any part number or photo of the one by gear knob?

if you pick a vendor ,the vendors site will give a matrix of vehicles and the relevant Brodit mountings , 1 part for car type and 2nd part to match item to be mounted

I use DSL Developments in York
Google them

You should really have a SatNav mounted at or near the eyeline not down at gearlever level :!:

exactly why I didn't go for the brodit solution....

No, she doesn't like the clutter.
It will be only used in emergency and for the speed cameras. It is automatic so the console clip they show on the DSL website is no good as the centre console is not as they show.

Have a similar setup to Gannet's for my BlackBerry, although when it's cold and the roof's down it goes on the passenger side of the centre vents. Not too far out of the line of sight either. A winner for me

May need to invest soon - the BB didn't pick up a signal at all today... may have something to do with my dismantling it at the weekend.
