Sat nav

Good morning All
I’m negotiating to buy a 2004 3.0se which ticks many boxes.
It has the original sat nav fitted but the screen is reluctant to pop up.
I’m not really bothered about it working in its current form as I would want to upgrade the head unit for a simple Bluetooth compatible single din.
Does the sat nav makes this swap more complicated?
Any advice gratefully received.
Many thanks

I pulled the fuse on mine because it was so annoying, let's hope it's something simple like that .

Does it have the carver system with amp and aditional speakers? not quite so simple to upgrade the head unit it if does.

If it has storage cubbies behind the seats it has the basic 6 speaker stereo.

There are two 10 speaker options, one doesn't have the Carver Amp. IIRC the Amp is under the boot floor next to the battery.

Or put the VIN into a decoder to get the OE spec for the car.

is it not 3 types of 10 speaker options?
Audio high power
Redstar DSP
Carver DSP

or Redstar DSP is originally used for x3

I'm not sure about the pre-facelifts but the options price list I have for E86s only shows two options for Hi-Fi speaker system and the Carver DSP.
