I was just wondering if anyone had installed the 32.2 version of the sat nav software and what you thought of it. I believe that it does night mode and updated maps as well as the speed cameras and was thinking of installing it on my Z4M.
Firmware updates are available for free from xoutpost.com.
I downloaded a V32 update CD as well as custom V32 that enables Speed camera alerts and night mode from there.
As said above you then need to modify the map DVD to include speed camera locations. Best source of these is pocketGPSworld.com for £20 a year. There are some free databases online but they might be out of date.
Although it's not hard to work out though with the info on Xoutpost for anyone techno-phobic I'd be happy to send them the firmware CD and instructions if wanted.
The way I have mine set with custom firmware from Xoutpost the stereo goes "BEEP BEEP Speed camera ahead". The warning increases in distance from the camera with speed. It does however pick up cameras which aren't on the road you are travelling on. In essence you are a bubble that gets bigger with speed. Any cameras that enter that bubble trigger the alert. Not as good as say a TomTom but would't be without it.
