Sat Nav Update

Updated my sat nav version to v32 and am trying to get 3d view. My problem is I cannot find the hidden menu.

I can find a post on here which says go to the settings menu and hold down for 8 seconds and in another 10 seconds. My problem. I can't find a "settings" button.

Can someone detail an idiots guide before I go mental please. :headbang:

Okay got a little further thanks Taz.

Went to configure settings and into this menus. Then held the menu button and got the "hidden" menu.

The only option which looked likely was perspective which I turned on and the screen looks.................

The same :(

My car is going into the dealers for an inspection 2 tomorrow so I put in the old 2007 map disc. Maybe this is why. Do I need to have a newer map version in the DVD in the player for 3D?

Any other advice?
 
You're nearly there. Once you've enabled Perspective in the hidden menu now just go to the normal sat nav menu and choose between direction, North or the new option now showing of 'perspective'

Old map won't affect it.
 
Where is the best place to get updated maps and software, mine is an 04 but has an 06 map disc but would like to get it as up to date as possible.

You can go online to download the program version and burn your own copy which is then inserted into the DVD. This is not illegal.

Alternatively you can go on eBay and purchase a pre burned program version. Again this is not illegal.

To update the maps you need to purchase a DVD from BMW (not illegal) or go onto eBay and buy a copy (illegal). If you do purchase from eBay you can get the greeting screen changed to something cool as well. Some people have said the copies can be glitchy but check feedback as normal and would think this would be a good indication.

I think this covers all options. Obviously the site or me couldn't condone any illegal actions.
