Hi,

This poll probably seems very weird, but it has a purpose. I will explain after some votes....

Go to the list of radio stations and rotate the right nob clockwise.

Does it scroll down the list or up the list - Please put your answer in the poll.

Does this have something to do with the fact that up seems to be down (on screen) and vica versa? - always seemed a bit daft to me. - or have I got it wrong?
 
Mine doesn't even display a list of radio stations - maybe I'm missing something?
X5 does but not my Z4??
 
I can't tell from the top of my head, but from memory I always turn it the wrong direction.

CJ - no radio list ???

Well I'm not going into the garage at this time to save me from :poke:, but I can't recall ever seeing one. I think I can search, sample, auto search, move to next preset, etc. X5 shows lists and i can select. Perhaps a different tuner?
 
Yes the problem is that it goes IMO the wrong direction and I think it's because we drive on the right. If it were a left hand drive car then it would be correct i.e. clockwise - up anti-clockwise - down.... would you all agree?

CJ, you must have a radio list. whilst the stereo is on click on the rectangle button that has a sign that looks like a tape cassette and either CD track info is displayed or radio list depending on what your listening too. then switch to radio if required (press mode button).
 
It's the same problem with the buttons on the MFSW - you push up and it goes to a higher pre-set rather than going in the direction you've pushed the arrow for.

It's mainly due to BMW not understanding that use arrows as function buttons will always infer a direction rather than a function.
 
At least with the Intravee, you can change the scroll direction (which I did immediately as I got fed up going the wrong way).

I've never realised that, but then i don't really use the radio much. I just used the radio in the example as I though it'll show the problem well.

My main annoyance I find is navigating through the main menu, map menu, etc.

I'm guessing code in the firmware needs to be moded to correct this issue right?

Nope - def no radio list. The button you describe toggles me between current screen and last one on anohter function used eg between radio and sat nav
 
Ye mine scrolls the wrong way... after a few weeks I've got use to it.

I need to get an Ipod or somthing as my 5 year old MP3 player's battery is crap and I end up listening to the crap on the radio.

Im sure one of the modding tools for our satnav will have somthing which allows you to change what the buttons do, which reminds me again I got to buy a cable to connect my laptop lol.

I'm baffled? So when you're on the radio what do you see on the screen?

IIRC I have at the top of the screen the radio station I'm currently on and below it, in a smaller font, the 6 pre-defined radio stations I've setup.

I'll try to get a picture later and post it.
