sat nav screen

Hi all I have an alpina roadster but the sat nav screen wont pop up. I can pull itnup with my hand and the button will putnit down. But it looks as though the back cover on monitor is loose as its possible catching. Is it an easy fix. Has anyone encounted this before?

To remove the sat nav, first remove the air vents below the sat nav and then remove the two long screws (including spacers) that hold the Sat Nav into place

i also think there are two screws at the top cover surround on the sat nav, but its been over a year+ since i stripped mine

i found that when i stripped mine, lubricated the drive and rebuilt and fitted it all back together, mine worked and lifted on its own

Hope that helps

i think you have to also remove the CD player as well, but thats after the vents

I didn't remove the CD player.

There is a small panel under the dash. That's where the connections are, in mine. The only reason you have to remove the Vents, is to un-clip the cables, which are routed around them.
