Sat Nav Screen
So over the past couple of years I have had the problem or problems with the sat nav screen
It will freeze ie. it will play a track on the iPod or CD and it will continue to play the following tunes but stay on one track for the info displayed
It will reboot just as you need the direction
It will do other faults but the above are the common ones
I have so far
Put a more unto date dvd in it (one of those we don't talk about)
Changed the DVD drive unit second hand one
Changed the head unit second hand one
Removed the sat nav screen unit and tried to find a broken wire as that comes up on my fox well scanner
Also I have had a drain on the battery which could be the sat nav radio system or it could have been me leaving on the passenger footwell led light strip on, further testing ongoing but may need to replace my multimeter fuse school boy error if I have blown it.
So what to do next
Does anyone local ish to me have a sat nav screen unit for me to try or sell me for reasonable money so I can try that
Next option is to remove the sat nav altogether although this means a dash change and this would be this coming winter at the earliest due to moving house (into a new build)
Doing this I loose the music display part of the screen
