I have a spare one with faulty stepper motor and tried to locate a replacment.

What I can tell you is the motor is made by Siemens and has the following info also labelled on it.

92 276 003 000

Aha great if you can get that sort of information. Of course BMW may have a restriction on Siemens selling them seperately but if it can be removed it can probably be repaired aswell. Good luck anyway and keep us posted. This could well help people in the future
