Sat nav screen not displaying

I have a '57 plate 3.0si and it has the factory nav so the display screen for the nav also does all of the radio functions. It doesn't display anything. The screen still pops up when you push the button to do so however nothing shows up.

Any ideas?

Was it working or is the car new to you,
Where are you as it's fairly straightforward to take it out an try in a different nav equipped car an try a known working nav in yours to try an diagnose the issue,
It could be battery related , as old batteries make all sorts of weird problems arise
 
The car is new to me and didn't function when I brought it. According to the old owner it just dimmed then one day didn't work and I'm near Coventry
 
If I'm passing I might be able to call in an try my spare screen , if that works ok it would appear that maybe the LCD panel in yours has gone , if mine doesn't show a working display then the fault must be some where else, if you know any other zed owners in your area that maybe able to help
 
I've been looking for a new screen but these seem hard to come by. I don't really know any zed member near me
