SAT NAV PROBLEMS

Having some real issues with my Sat Nav.

I replaced the laser about a month ago as I thought it was probably wearing out after 5 years of use. I then was still having issues with the disc not being recognised. So I then bought a new disc. For a while it seemed to do the trick.

I then found that the GPS wasn't locating where I was so I then replaced the Antenna.

Having done all this I thought that It was working fine until I went up to Scotland this weekend and found that half way up the map on the screen started to run out of information and went blank.

It then couldn't identify routes I was putting in, sometimes it would show the map and other times it went blank or would not recognise the disc.

The only way I could get it to work was to turn the car off for 10 mins or more to reset it but even this doesn't work every time.

I really am at a loss as to what is actually wrong with it.

Has anyone else had any of these issues and managed to sort it out, or is it a case of buying a new sat nav unit?

Thanks in advance Jamie.
