Sat Nav postcodes

Tried my new sat nav out on way home only had the Ct4 6 part of my postcode - anyone have a updated sat nav disk they don't need anymore? How do I go about getting this updated in the most cost efficient manner? :?

They are selling "backup" copies of the BM original discs. So you are giving some joker £25 for a copy and not a BM original.
 
The BMW mk4 nav only does 5 digit postcodes. You can import a full postcode set as a poi database and that's how some of the after market discs do it. You then use the info search function to look up a postcode and navigate there
 
BTW - posting links to people providing dodgy copies of nav discs frequently gets the link or post removed by a mod. Not because they don't like you, but because linking to pirate software puts the forum in a difficult position with the legal beagles

Ah I see and where is best place to get an updated disk? :thumbsup:
 
A BMW dealer... :lol:

You can buy some software called pimpmynav that will allow you to clone your disc and customise it with your own poi databases etc then burn a new one with your added info. That's how speed camera locations and the postcode databases are added
 
hi, i have just brought a 2007 3.0 coupe, the options list states profesional nav dvd, what dvd should i be looking for to bring this upto date?
 
I have a 2012 update disc in my 2006 Mk4 Nav..

I wouldnt bother for the changes it gives you compared to the money it cost..
