My sat nav seems to have got worse recently, and cant seem to keep a lock on satellites. I went into the 'hidden' set menu tonight and looked at the GPS Sensor status whilst driving home - it goes from being locked onto 5 satellites, to 0 satellites-searching, then say back to 4 satellites, then 0 again etc. Basically it seems to not to be able to keep a lock. When viewing the map, the green satellite signal in the top right keeps disappearing and reappearing which I presume is the same thing.
Sometimes when losing satellites it continues to navigate ok by using the gyro and direction sensors, then sometimes it just goes off and puts me in the middle of a field somewhere.
I have recently created a new modified map with camera alerts, but I have also had the problem with my previous modified disk over the last few weeks as well, so I don't see that a change of map disk should cause a problem.
Is there anything else to check, or is it a phone call to the dealer?
