Sat Nav - Information on Location

Depends what firmware and map disc you're using. On some of the hacked firmwares this is the entry point to the full postcode lookup...

Ahh right didn't know that. So if you were running an ebay style disk it would list the postcodes here. So if you weren't running an ebay disk, what would it show. Just to clarify.
 
Information on Location should show a list of all the POIs categories, from which you go through the hierarchy until you reach the sub-sub-sub-category you want. It should then be able to search within a proscribed radius which you set in the later menus.
 
Info on location gives the menu to search all POI within the are a you are in as opposed to info on city, which list all those at your destination.


Useful if say you are crossing he country and want to know where the nearest petrol is even by brand.
 
Right I've tried the original 2007 disk and can see what you mean.

I think the new disk I have is faulty, but I have spoken to the supplier and they are sending me a replacement.

I trust by suppplier you mean BMW. Pirate software discussion is not allowed here
 
i used the location feature once when i was out in birmingham and wanted some parking.... it found me one... but then on the way i passed a multi-storey which was much closer which my location didnt have.... but still a handy alternative then going on your mobile and googling it!!

EDIT: New disk has fixed it.
