Sat Nav - Glitch?

The sat nav screen on the 335 suddenly displayed in red letters NO Signal
It then went blank , flashed the message about three times more, then re booted from the Bmw Connected Drive screen.

It all seems Tickety Boo now - I’m unsure if it’s been a location / sat acquisition thing, software glitch or an impending aerial problem?

I’ve never seen it before on a BMW system, it’s running on 2021- 1 maps

It will be the lack of petrol to keep all the GPS satellites in orbit.

Hi Ron,
Are you running BMW updated maps or aftermarket? If aftermarket,maybe a glitch with that?
Hopefully it doesn't re appear.

Maps updates at the main dealer.
It was a complete system shutdown and reboot. Fingers crossed it’s a one off.
Fortunately I’ve got a warranty so its a £250 max

That's good then,Ron,re Warranty,and or BMW maps. I have had glitches with my older system in my z,but that was down to Aftermarket updated discs in my case.
Thought it may have been same in tours,but thankfully not.
Probably just a minor glitch,as you say mate

All ya can do is hope for best!
The system in the 35is hoyed it’s toys out of the pram once - that was attributed to the dash cam, the system had been installed too close to the sat nav aerial.
It was re positioned and not a scrap of bother since but I always have my iPhone with me with a few nav systems installed just in case.
