SAT NAV (France)

And more and more people are reporting getting foreign letters for UK registered cars as well. So far I have been clear, but t sure is a challenge to get through Europe without getting flashes. The last flash was in Germany in a 50 zone and I was doing 51 on my digital counter. Could not believe it that it flashe me, never heard from it though.

How?

I drove to the Nurburgring and back in 2015 and saw only 2 cameras.

You really don't need to worry about it ... if your satnav warns you about cameras then heed the warnings! They now display signs when cameras are positioned anywhere - large signs - so there's no excuse!

I assume that’s in France?
My main worry is my trips to Germany and specifically the Autobahn - the speed limits seem to suddenly appear - I’ve usually obeyed and only to be overtaken !

Thats what caught me out Ronk, was on a no speed limit autobahn which suddenly changed to 80kmh just over the brow of a hill, seems as though all the German cars around me knew as they slowed down much quicker than i did, saw the flash but did not see the camera.
I got the speeding fine with pictures through my letter box a couple of weeks later, I though about ignoring it but having done a bit of research on google and a number of drivers getting pursued for payment and ending up paying more than the original fine, I decided to cough up the 20 euro, then came the difficult bit, actually paying it.
My bank (barclays) wanted £25 to do it, in the end i found an online bank that would do it for free so it only cost me the £17.80

Ah the Barclays rip off!
It’s akin to being fined twice - could it have been paid by credit card?
