Hey All,

Apologies if this the wrong forum, I'm after the sat nav disc, or software to burn for my 2007 Z4M coupe, I've had a scan around but it's a minefield of versions/dates and success rates. So does anyone have a verified download that works?

I have a few different discs ( 2 copies + a original i think ) i'm away until next weekend . but if you don't get sorted you're welcome to one of them if it suits your needs

I wouldn’t waste your time with the built in sat nav mate. It’s absolutely awful. No amount of updates could compare to a live app like Waze.

Waze is excellent, no doubt. However, when your phone gives up on you mid way through France, as mine did last week, it’s great to have something that doesn’t rely on connection, credit or anything else.

Given mine still has the disc from 2007 I think it’s probably about time I updated it so any links to trusted sources would be appreciated.

@RedUn - Yeah I've seen them, read a lot of mixed stories, was wondering if anyone has ordered a specific one which worked.

@MrWilks - That's a fantastic offer thanks, I might take you up on it, I'm currently burning some ISO's people have recommended which I'll give a shot first :)

@Dannytheduck1985 - Yeah I agree, I've used the same system in an X3 from 2003 and it is indeed garbage by modern car/phone standards, I'm always on GoogleMaps personally but like Beanie says it's always good to have a back-up AND it would bug me not having a feature of the car working as intended :P

Go for the modded firmware as it will give you 7 digit postcode search, then plenty of sources for the latest maps disc with the postcode database added to it.

It may not have all the features of modern satnav, but it's always got me where I've needed to go 👍

Mines a few years old now but works a treat, I'll see if I can find the seller...

So I burned a disc that works a treat with western Europe maps on, had a little trip tonight to give it a test and it worked perfectly despite it being the old firmware with 2d maps and partial postcodes. I've just made a disc for the firmware update from http://neiloakley.com/, has anyone had any success with these before I give it a shot inside the M?
