First use today heading home from Suffolk after MTB session this weekend. Can't recommend highly enough. Solid and didn't move an inch.

Was plenty of clearance Andy. Its a great bit of kit. Balanced weight distribution, quality parts and you can set the angle. Was nowhere near the paintwork and exceeded my expectations

Dont have any pics yet but i have a Saris bones as well.Fits perfectly on the Z4MR and my wifes Honda Accord.  :D

Does the bike lock to the Bones?
Not as a feature but there are spaces to weave a bike lock through and around your bike when on. Got mine from Wiggle...

only thing about this design that worries me is the hooks on the glass of the hatchback,if the rear screen was encased by steel bodywork I would have bought one similar.

I worried too but theyre not seriously load bearing. The weight is distributed on the main feet and the straps are there for stability. Hooks at top seemed okay but will of course monitor. I guess if you wanted too you could place the top hooks in the bodywork gap between the rear screen and the rear quarter windows too. Plenty of strap.

Inkey, I notice that you've got the feet against the tailgate rather than on the bumper. I've just bought a bones carrier and it says that it should be supported by the bumper. Have you had any problems with movement or scuffs and scratches on the bodywork?

I'm curious as looking to fit mine this weekend......
