A 'forum car', since 2014, and only for sale because I've just bought back my old Boston Green 2.8 Z3 and as yet have not managed to sort out a suitable storage solution for the coupe.

It's the sport model, and benefits from a Bilstein B12 kit. The water pump, clutch & DMF have all been replaced and the wheels are Style 32's from an E46 that have the identical staggered 18" set up to the original style 108 wheels.

One of only 34 UK cars with the triple black spec of Sapphire Black exterior, Oregon black interior and Piano lacquer dash. It's had lots of work done over the years including:

Current mileage is 109,000 and it has an MOT until May next year. Service history:

The car drives great and is mechanically sound but the bodywork and wheels would benefit from tidying up. There is some rust coming through on the rear arches (NS where it joins the rear bumper, OS on the wheel arch) It's not that bad, but I don't want anyone getting the impression this is a concours car.

It's not the good ones that sell fast, its the ones that are properly advertised at a fair price.

I can't recall the asking price on this one, but I remember looking at the asking price as thinking it was VERY fair, potentially even cheap... but it's so hard to judge what's fair when so many are on the market at "optimistic trader price" or "I'm open to selling if I get what I want, I am not selling if the market value turns out to be less than I want price."

Not rocket science... if you want to sell a car... maintain it properly, don't let the miles go above 120k / 130k because us Brits hate that, write a decent advert and price it at a level the market is willing to pay.

If you are less keen on selling a car then my top tips are (1) make sure there is a long list of jobs for the buyer to do ASAP after purchase; (2) make sure the mileage is very very high; (3) write a bad advert that makes potential buyers think you are an idiot or hiding things; (4) Price it as if the issue in (1) and (2) don't exist.

Just to be clear... OPs car looked like a good 'un, but it's sold - IMHO - because it's a good car at a fair price. Immaculate cars at very strong prices, and poor cars at cheap prices can also sell quick!
