Just had mine into Lloyds Newcastle for its MOT and passed with flying colours and good news that still a couple of thousand miles on the tyres which I thought may need changing. :D

Whilst waiting they kindly loaned me m40i to play with and impressed. :thumbsup:

On my return to the garage they were just manoeuvring this beauty into place. Not everyone’s cup of tea to be fair but in the flesh looked very nice indeed. Was told it had been a customer order who decided he didn’t want it when he saw the colour.

Tempted as they have offered a very good price for mine.

You only live once mate. Explain to the wife that one kidney is perfectly adequate and she won't even know it's gone.
 
To be fair, she said if I want it I can have it. This is worrying. What is it she wants and what is it going to cost me?

Lloyds also have a frozen green one in Cockermouth which is a drive over to the Lake District so may have a run out one day and see what that looks like. Will also check out how much more the insurance will cost. Also a concern is if Labour increase car tax on larger engines. A lot to consider but we will see.

If not this one there will be others but definitely sold on the Cognac interior.

Funny my wife said it reminded her of a military Green.

It does look better in the daylight than it appears in the photos. Any other colour interior though just wouldn't look right
 
I saw one for the first time about a month ago coming out of BMW UK in Farnborough and it looks much better in the flesh than I expected.

You could be the first person on here to have one - just saying! :lol:

Fecking horrible colour! :sick: Don't quite understand why green has become THE trendy colour in 2024. Who made that stupid decision?

The car in the photo will never look better than in a showroom with 20,000,000 lumens of spotlights on it......and it still looks shite!

Still.....in 20 years time they will be worth a fortune as will be 'super rare'. :?

I think San Reno’s green is great, seen in on a 4 series convertible and it looked fantastic but then again we have a lot of sunshine here and it needs the sun to make the colour pop.
 
I don’t like the colour at all. Looks very dull. I was expecting to see something a tad more exciting.

I don’t think Pondy liked it either! :D
 
That is a stunning colour combo! The light in the image isn't doing it justice.

The G29 Z4 is just hard to justify at its full price IMO. It wouldn't be high on my list as a new car compared to others but as a 3 year old 30k car I think it's attractive.
 
I remember when I was selling cars (like a million years ago now), being told never buy in (or order in for stock) a green car. They were regarded as being unlucky... I had a customer buy a new Fiesta Flight in Nordic Green, I asked the question (we called it the BMWW question - Brave Man Without Wife), what does your wife think about the new car? and was told that he made the decisions in his house! Delivery day came (Friday 13th, but he wasn't superstitious)... 30 minutes later he was back and looking very sheepish... my wife had told me to get rid of the car or face a divorce!
I had a Jag in Jaguar Racing Green, when the sun came out it was amazing. I think with this G29 it wouldn't be the green paint that would put me off, but the extra 5K for a manual gearstick!

[/quote] This is an auto and the wife prefers this to the frosted green and offered an £8.5k discount without even trying and a good price on mine.

Did have an emerald green car with similar interior ( limited edition Mazda 323 with a V6 engine) and 3 years after I bought it I sold it at a small profit.

Pondy not liking it must make it a bit more desirable :poke:

There's one in Sytner Sheffield, which is closer to me, £5k discount already
 
Most cars look fetching in a dealers showroom :evil: , fastforward to parting company & green / tan will be like offloading a Austin Allegro :cry: yes buy one but buy the right one would be my thoughts

My mistake I thought the Pulse special edition was only available with a manual gearbox, but its not: https://www.bmw-m.com/en/topics/magazine-article-pool/bmw-z4-m40i-edition-pure-impulse.html
