Samsung Galaxy Note or iphone 5

I had a Desire HD for 2yrs, no problems. Now the One X. I think HTC are making some great kit now.

I've said it before, its nice to not be constrained and have to use itunes, have to re-encode video to play it... Real plug and play is what i like.

Plus, go play with a One X demo, so slim, no seams, amazing screen... Not sure what the iPhone 5 will bring, but Google are making a hell of an argument for Android.

I don't think many phones would have survived falling to the floor and being run over by a lorry. :P :poke:

Hmmmmmm tough decision, at the moment I just feel I would regret going from Apple, my worst thought is swapping the phone and taking out a new contract tied to 18 months and being stuck with a phone I wouldnt be happy with :? Would make the decision if there was a iPhone 5 release date :x

Tim, you can borrow mine for a week,I mean it, I don't actually use mine, so if it helps you make up our mind, you're welcome to borrow it to see what you think....I'll delete everything on it, apart from pics of my Z!!
 
I had the original iPhone (only had Edge & GPRS connectivity) then the 3G then the 4. I probably don't use half the capability. I think the iPhone sucks as a phone but I can't imagine life without it as the wife has one as well (and an iPad) which all link up nicely. Better the devil you know.

I've had issues with my phone but I don't think it's insane, mardy at times yes, but it's definitely not gone insane..
 
I have Nokia Lumia 800 and Windows Phone is great. More and more applications are now available for Windows.

But I will choose iPhone, not Samsung.

Thats really kind of you :thumbsup: and thanks for the offer :) I think I'm just going to hold out for the iPhone and then have a look at the Samsung and maybe one or two others at the same time and then I have them side by side. albeight in the shop, although you can probably never compare unless being used for a few days. I guess I'm just being impatient to change as my current phone feels a bit long in the tooth, poor camera especially when scanning QR codes and no video so have to carry a Flip Video Cam :|

iPhone all the way, the Apple platform means one dock connector for iPhone, iPad, iPod . Bose make products for it. Sony etc etc
How many head units have a Samsung direct connections? How many accessories support the other platforms.
Nokia making thousands redundant, at one time they were the best smartphones with the N series, and now they are left way behind .

So true I have the Bose sound 10 iPod dock and home cinema thing!!!! Awesome is not the word.

Except the new iphone 5 will have a new dock interface... Completely different form factor to the existing one :thumbsdown:

I have a 4s, ipad, countless ipods (for different things) and a macbook..... Just makes life simple, turn it on any they work.

Not to mention every room has an ipod dock... So the expected change in form factor does annoy me somewhat.

I read that as well recently on a Mac forum and that does annoy me as well. I have a iPhone 4 and I plan to upgrade as well. I have 4 docks and that I will need to replace... :( However, small price to pay for how well the iPhone works and interfaces with my Mac computers.

Same here, Got a 4 and jailbroken to hell too. And Ipad.

Means we have to wait for iphone 5.. THEN the jailbreak! :(
