Same tyre with different tread, will this matter ?

Hi guys, i recently bought to new tyres online for my new alloys. They are both goodyear eagle f1 tyres in the same size and profile but they have arrived and one has a different tread pattern to the other? Will this make a difference when they are on the car? I presume the compound is the same and they should react the same under driving conditions. Is tread pattern just to expel rain ?

Check production dates on the tyres,
I'd be questioning the seller if one is 5 or more years old.

Personally..I would only put them on the back, not the front due to possible difference of water expulsion especially when there's heavy rain

That,s good sense

On a more OCD level the knowledge that i had different tread pattern on each axle would disrupt my karma

You've probably been given one directional and one asymmetric.

Usually the directional go on the front, and the asymmetrics in the rear.

Personally I wouldn't mix tread patterns on one axle.
