Sadly need to sell - but when?

Hi chaps,

It's been four glorious years but I finally have to part with my Zed. I managed to keep hold of it despite the arrival of child no. 1, but now the second is on the way and as my recent MOT has highlighted I've only done about 1000miles this year, it's clear I need to sell it.

Thing is, we are now getting into late autumn/winter which is historically not the best time to sell a soft-top. I wonder though if hanging on or a few months will actually net me some more cash in real terms once insurance is taken into account etc.

Anyone any suggestions? N.B it's a 2007 2.5i Sport with 90K miles, full BMWSH and just flew past its MOT with no advisories.

A 90k 2.5si Sport is still a desirable Z but i can't see much logic in stringing it out  unlikely the value will be radically different come spring .
4 yrs enjoyment is a fair innings & circumstances change :( if its time to part company i would crack on .
A decent advert + pics , £15 classified advert with a realistic ask would be my next move & see what comes of it .
Also worth listing on here

There are likely more roadsters that buyers this time of year, in comparison to late spring. So of course that affects sale-ability. But it's not going to be a lot in financial terms. More likely to affect how long it takes to find a buyer. If the plan is to sell then there seems little point hanging on.

Thanks all - that's basically my thinking too. Will start getting it ready for sale, will probably put it on here first.

Am potentially in the market for a z4 2.5si as soon as my car goes, let me know when you are putting it up for sale as I’d be interested depending on location and price :D
