Hi All
Today was my first chance to get some Swissvax onto the bodywork and Rainaway the glass. Sad, but how nice does it look?

Looking good, black is very rewarding to clean.

Don't go posting mad though - I mean, 17 posts in 3 years :lol:
 
I find cleaning my car strangely therapuetic. I always think clean cars go better and are more reliable than grubby cars as well.

+1- they also weigh less than dirty cars, thus increasing the power to weight ratio :driving:

I'd say snowfoam and a pressure wash, ie not touching the car so as not to agitate the grit into the paint..

Funnily enough I had a session yesterday cleaning my P & J which is also a black E89 and was commenting about how it gets filthy just sitting on the drive.. so I share your pain
 
Not sad at all ! Your Zed looks superb ! I have worked in the motor trade for 31 years mainly in PDI/Preparation and I still enjoy cleaning my own cars. It is therapeutic and so satisfying. My wifes black Freelander2 is sometimes a real challenge but it's so worth it when you stand back and survey it in all its gleaming glory ! Detailing rocks ! :thumbsup:
 
Cleaned mine today and it is definitely therapeutic, I love that feeling of when you finish and admire the e89 fine lines.
 
Looks great. Think your technique needs to be tested on another car for a balanced opinion. What time are yo poppin round to do my E86? :poke:
 
I love spending time washing my cars, just hate when it rains 20 mins later.
Now the outside is looking so good, do the interior, my tip for the dash
Try using early morning dew collected in flower petal cups mixed with 3 drops of juice from a freshly picked lemon
(I've found Tesco's lemons work nearly as well) then delicately apply using 5 down feathers from an Eider duck
and work in using the tail feather of a swift.
Rinse using only mountain spring water collected by a virgin under a full moon and dry under the wing beats of a 100 butterflies.
