Sad day

damn it always sad to loose a friend ,escpecialy whe he was your best friend!

take some comfort in the knowledge you cared for him to the best of your ability and he did love you as much as you loved him bacuse he was your best friend.

Sorry to hear, just remember the good times.

One of my dogs is dying, she only has about a month left so i know how you feel. I was trying not to cry at my desk in the office the other day, most people don't understand unless they have had a dog. I hope you are coping ok.

My sympathies to you, quite a shock, but I'd like to go in my sleep like that without any illness...
We're all going where he's gone one day, and none of us know when, so let's enjoy it!

so sad to see them go as they become part of the family nice that he just passed away in his sleep, we have lost two of our jack russell's its very sad .

Knowing
If I had known that on that day our time was near the end
I would have done things differently, my forever friend.
I would have stayed right next to you deep into the night
but I thought I'd see you in the early morning light.

And so I said "Good night" to you as I walked in through the door
never thinking of the time when I'd see you no more.
But if I had known that on that day our time was at the end
I would have done things so differently, my forever friend.

Much appreciated all. Weird evening, no scratching on the door to be let in etc, or even opening the door by himself to go out.

Hey really sorry to hear this pvr. He was such a character. As you say mad as a hatter when he first saw someone, then soon after you'd never know he was there.

My thoughts to you and all the family

Despite my avatar, I'm actually a dog-person, and have been where you are several times in the past... heartfelt condolences to you and the rest of your family.

Bad news mate. Know exactly how you feel - we had a Dalmation, Amy, for 15 years. She got so old and had cancer, etc, and had to have her put to sleep - I watched her tail slowly stop wagging in the vet's and was so distraught I couldn't stay to pay the bill. It took me 8 years to face getting another. Sincere condolences.
