Sad day in the Guiseley household

3 years ago the blue zed arrived in our house and Guiseley discovered the forum while searching for help on installing his aux in. He was invited on a run the next day and we ended up driving a zed with half the dash missing.
That was the start of some really fun times in that little car and it's led us to meet some great people and some fab places. I've loved the trips to Scotland and Wales, the NY moors runs, the National and Zedfest. We've had two brilliant family holidays driving though Europe, plus some great days out.
I can't believe parting with a car can have such a pull on the heart strings. I hope the new car is half as much fun. Needless to say I'm keeping the red zed and we are all looking forward to getting out on some good runs this year :)
 
Wish all this snow would go away so I could actually drive it. Of course it gives Tony an excuse to buy another set of wheels and winter tyres :)
 
You've got the best of both worlds, a Porker and a Zed. I know what you mean tho, I get sad when a car goes. It must be a girl thing!
 
Not a girl thing, it's a car enthusiast thing. I got a proper lump in my throat when my immaculate Civic Type R was driven away. :oops:

Many congratulations to Tony on the Cayman. Hopefully he'll take me for a blast sometime. :thumbsup:
 
Yes,Ruth,def an entusiast thing as Bradders says....i was sad to see my previous z4 go,despite having an M in my drive at the time(as i didnt advertise my 3.0 for sale right away,lol).

Sure u will have lots of fun in the Cayman,they are good cars/even if they are not a z4,haha.
Good thing u still have urs,for the forum meets at least.
You and Tony still attending the National meet,and will u bring the Cayman to transport the Daughters in,or just bring the z?
 
From what I've see from other peoples comments there isn't any other forum as good as this one.

Don't know about the National yet Craig, it's exam year for the girls so we are not sure how that's going to go, and if we all came that would mean we would have to bring the Cayman.
 
This forum is one very good reason why I still have my Zed, it's more than just a car, it's a community :D

Enjoy your porker, but you still have a Zed so all is not lost. :poke:

Think I'll get a garage to fit these - unlike the BM it's the parts that cost the fortune, the fitting is only £80, and it doesn't impact warranty. Happy to take you for a spin.

Agreed - I did try hard to like the e89, but have fancied a Cayman for awhile, and coupe's rock :thumbsup: (p.s. Handling with PASM is like nothing I've ever driven)
 
Hi this is my first post.

Just to say seeing the Blue Coupe round Guiseley prompted me to buy the Red M coupe you may have seen about that area for the last 12 months or so.. I was 90% certain I was going the 370Z route before that initial spot..

This forum is great I've done some little mod's based on advice here and guess I should put some pic's up some time and do a meet as well..

Ye same. Been out once in 5 weeks :(! Snow just redic calming down now tho.

The red one is in the rare colour? and lovely :) least you've still got a Z :) hope to see you and the family at more meets!

Yep still got red one (shown below with my old blue one just behind) hope to get to meets in both new cars if you'll still have me but depends on girls GCSEs at the mo.
