Sachs

Hi, interested to hear from anyone that decided to renew their suspension with Sachs shocks/struts. I'm in two minds between going Sachs (OEM as I understand it) or using Bilstein B4s and wondered if anyone else had been in the same position and plumped for Sachs (and why they chose them over alternatives). Presumably you can still use Eibach springs if you wanted to lower the car.

Anyone any thoughts on the harshness and handling of (new) Sachs OEM vs B4s?

P.S. I'm on m-sport suspension currently. The car is on 82,000 miles and on the original suspension so it is time for a refresh.

Just fitted Sachs rears (to my E85) and aside the obvious changes to replacing 16 year old/101k miles kit, they are not a harsh ride at all.

Thanks.
Did you consider alternatives?
Are you still running standard springs?
There is a lot of posts around about bilstein but couldn't find as many about sachs. Not sure if that is telling but would be interested to hear about the merits or otherwise of sachs.

I did look around but the reality for my z4 is that it’s never going on a track; I just wanted an improvement on the old and busted that were on it

I’ve used bilstens on an e30 before and with m sport springs it did stiffen the ride
