I have seen it on here at one time, but i don't ever remember seeing them installed. I know that a member has done this but has anyone got any idea how much work is required or what they look like fitted?

What's the deal with S2000 seats, I don't recall them being anything special in the one I drove?

It could be for the looks, some might like the look of the S2K seats over our stock ones, especially actually inside the zed and fitted. Or maybe its a little more comfortable during long rides?

Hi

Thanks for the pics! Its for the reason that M Sport seats are £500-£700, I also want red seats which will cost upwards of £1000 to trim, or I could just buy S2000 seats in red for £200-£300

Can you connect up heating elements?? I couldn't do without the heated seats!!

Yeah I pulled my old seats apart and took the heater mats out. The seats are fully electric as I mounted them on the OEM base

Huuummmm this seems like it might be a better option than what I had planed!!

I had two S2000, the seats in your photo are early S2000 seats 2000-2005 they changed the design after that and lost the headrest hole.

The seats were good but not adjustable or electic. They are also way off in build quality on the Z so why would you want them is beyond me. The M seats are much better.

The seats are fully electric now and heated also.!!

Had the standard seats in before which are rubbish. Red electric heated M seats = £800-900 and a very hard to come by.

These seats cost me about £140 and are a 100 times better than what I had before. Don't get me wrong I'd love the M seats in mine.!!

Cool, get the cost difference

Is that gloss finish standard or a colour/refinishing product?

Yeah I gave the seats a bit of a refurb, was meant to be satin finish but looks more like gloss.

Top marks for effort and noticed that the S2000 seats are proving quite popular with us Zeders......someone also mentioned that the price of s2000 seats of eBay are going up! Would like to see a more matt finish to go with the door cards....

How much of a pain was the fitting? Is it just a case of taking the standard seats off the runners and attaching the s2000 seats?

No-one going to try the MX-5 seats with built-in speakers?

A number of S2k owners fitted speakers to the gap in the headrest to give better sound at speed with the top down. A reasonably easy install from what I remember.

There were original OEM upgraded speakers fitted to the gap in the headrest, these were poor quality. Aftermarket speakers that S2k owners put in were installed in the Roll-over hoops and these were a lot better.

I found that it took a fair amount of adjustment to find a comfortable position with my ///M seats whilst my S2000 seats were pretty much fine as soon as I sat in it. Also, the S2000 seats offer better support in fast corners than the ///M seats, although that's likely a consequence of them being more suited to my fairly slim build.
