s**t !! Roof stoped working help

Well guys s**t happens and i think its happened to me..
Just fitted my new 19" alloys and had her lowered she looks great.
then this morning press the roof button and the top catch werres and release's and thats it :(
no sound from the motor in the back and nothing happens, I have thought that the roof opperation had been slowing down recently.
The red catch in the boot how far do I pull it out it dos not seam to do anything its moves slightly and is tight it moves out of the cradel it sits in just and I turn it but cant move the roof.
Please help and please somone say it might not be my motor :cry: :cry: :cry:
 
Grant - sorry to hear about your problem just as the good weather is coming :(

Loads on here about this problem with the worst case scenario being a failed roof motor. Have a look at the thread below as a starter for ten with regard to checking the basic issues.

I tried it again and it started to move but stopped again, I can hear a clicking from behind the fuse box could it be a ressistor or dodgy solinoide ?
or it could just be the motor :cry: :cry: :cry:
 
I use the top often, I noticed that over the last few times that it was slowing up when operating.
I really could do with some advise for a good indie around sheffield / Doncaster / Leeds / Nottingham etc...
