Just dropped the mini into a garage today as the crank seal looks to be leaking again.
This went last year and wrecked the clutch, £700 later it was fixed and has been fine till this morning.
Hopefully the clutch is fine and doesnt need to be replaced but I am not that lucky.

We had a 2008 Cooper S for 3 years. Was perfect for 2.5 years but the last 6 months things started to go wrong.

I would never buy Mini again

We had 2008 clubman, had several issues
So happy when it was sold (for good price in fairness) and the new owner drove it away

Its a 2007 R56 Cooper just turned 72,000 miles, had it since around 49,000
Apart from the oil that it uses and the poor mpg for a 1.6 its been good for the best part but not great.
In the last 13 months it has had a crank seal and clutch, 2 rear calipers that were stuck solid and a passenger door actuator.
And now the crank seal again.
Wouldnt mind so much but its an engine out job to fix it which obviously means lots of cash.
Wouldnt buy another one either. Great little cars to run about in but overpriced and not built very well.

Same here. Had a 2007 cooper s for 5 years from new, relatively trouble free but then things went horribly wrong!!!
