Could you share some more info on the E89 seats please? Do you mean rewiring, or did you have to start with capacitors / resistors etc?Yorkie Z said:I've fitted S2000 and E89 seats in my Z, not at the same time![]()
The S2000 seats I managed to fit to the original electric base with a s**t load of fabrication, I also cut the heater mat out of my old seats and fitted them in the new ones.
E89 seats are a good fit but also require a lot of electrical work. I did mange to get them working including the heater mat in the seat already.
I don't think you'll find any guides, you just have to start tracing cables and working it all out. To be honest once you start it's not really that hard.

So mechanically they are a straight fit?Yorkie Z said:Jakg said:Could you share some more info on the E89 seats please? Do you mean rewiring, or did you have to start with capacitors / resistors etc?Yorkie Z said:I've fitted S2000 and E89 seats in my Z, not at the same time![]()

No it was only rewiring. First I removed the air bag which is built into the side of the seat. Then I connected the seat up to a car battery and worked out which cables controlled which function. It was then just a case of then connecting to the cables coming out of the plug on the car.![]()

Yorkie Z said:Nope but it's pretty close, the holes line up one side but I had too fabricate a couple adapter plates for the other side.

Curious about how this looks. Pics?
Props for fitting those seats but they look a bit 'hunched' imo.Yorkie Z said:tomrdy said:Yorkie Z said:Nope but it's pretty close, the holes line up one side but I had too fabricate a couple adapter plates for the other side.
