So I finally ventured into my first improvement project this afternoon on the car: get the seats unbolted and removed in order to clean up 13 years worth of detritus - I think one of the previous owners was a serious pasty fan based on the amount of flaky pastry I had to hoover up!
Then to tackle the runners as I was amazed how rusty they were - runners were all cleaned up and resprayed with a can of satin black plus all the bolts and nut heads were sprayed up to give a cleaner look. Quick spruce up of the seat adjusters and a wipedown of the leather seats.
Seats came out successfully (and went back in eventually once I sussed I needed to line the runners up with each other first!).
And lastly and thankfully no airbag light on completion once the battery was reconnected and engine fired up!
Next job: to fit a quality weighted gearknob and recondition the seat leather
