rusty hubs

What is the best paint/spray to use on my rusty hubs? In less than a year they are going rusty!

Wipe "fast etch" on them, works well at combatting rust.

Hammerite Smoothrite will do the job. If its just very light surface rust try polishing them up first.

Did mine yesterday with Autoglym resin polish and then a coating of Amorall wheel shield. Still factory fresh after 2 years but then I don't use the Zed during the winter

Looking at a new 4 series convertible today and I noticed that the hubs are now painted or coated in something a bit more special, I don't know if all the new models are the same, perhaps they've got the message at last after all the complaints they must have received.

I'm guessing I wouldn't have to do very often. 2k a year in the dry so should last.

So, couple of months down the line, and still looking good

Couple of small spots of rust, probably missed an area when I first treated them. However they still looking pretty good. Car has been in the garage for the past 3 weeks, I suppose the best test would be this autumn/winter when we get some rain...

This is exactly what i have done to mine, cleaned them up with a drill/wire brush combo then clear laquer-its given a bronze type finish which looks pretty good.
