rusty brake lines

 Mostly Holland. Sometimes UK.
finally got around to replacing the summer wheels yesterday and had a poke around inside the wheel wells.
Noticed surface corrosion on the brakelines in-line with the advisory on last MOT. Planning to clean them up and coat in lithium grease but is it a good idea to wait until the weather's dry? bit dank today after last night's rain and concerned I might just end up sealing in moisture and developing corrosion again....
Also spotted some corrosion at top of strut mount. any cause for concern here or is it just surface corrosion?

You need oxygen too for corrosion

It's usually just surface rust on the top spring plate and that's separate to the top mount at the front. The gaiter looks pretty sad but shouldn't cause issues, depending on your mileage you might want to refresh the front suspension.

Cheers steve. yep, it's one of the reasons why i got the car so cheap i think. i had a good poke around when buying and found loads of bits n pieces but didnt go too far into the wheel wells to see this sadly, otherwise ida got another few hundred off! lol 3.5k paid down from 4.5k asking.
